Maximize GoPro HERO 3 Battery Life

Hello and welcome to VisiHow. In this video I will show you how to maximize battery life in your GoPro HERO 3 black edition.
Steps

There are a number of things you can do to make sure that your battery last as long as possible when you are on the beach or in the woods ridding of road on your BMX
.

First thing we can do, is going to Setup settings, Several Presses on the Mode button until you get to the Setup settings
.
Then press on the Shutter button to go to Setup setting.

Several presses on the Mode button, until we have OSD setup option
.

Press on the Shutter button to have the option to turn that status screen (OSD) OFF
.
Use the Mode button to move to the OFF option.

Press on the Shutter button to Select it
.

Next we have the option to turn OFF the lights
.
Press on the Mode button until you reach the LED screen.

To turn OFF the light, press on the Shutter button to enter the LED menu
.

Using the Mode button cycle through the option 4, 2, and OFF to reach the OFF option
.

Press on the Shutter button to activate the OFF option
.
This will save you a little bit of power.

Next we have the option to turn OFF the sound
.

If we don't need the sound, cycle through the options of sound using the Option button until you are on the OFF option
.

Press on the Shutter button to activate the OFF option and turn the sound OFF
.

Next we have the option to switch the camera OFF when inactive, so if we are not using the camera, it will automatically turn it OFF

This will save a lot of time, and power when we leave the camera ON
.
We do so by pressing on the Mode button to reach the 60 Sec. option.

Press the Shutter button to activate the option of 60 Sec
.

In the total stranded mode battery you should have about 6 hours in battery life time
.
To maximize the battery life we can avoid using the WiFi with remote by pressing the button on the side to save the power.

If you are also using the pro tune which is a very good option, but it does significantly drain your battery
.

You can avoid using that when you have bad battery or when you want to save as much power as possible
.
You can see the option is turn OFF.

You can also change the Frames per Second by pressing on the Mode button, if you reduce that it could save a considerable amount of battery time
.
If you are using 1080 resolution with 50 Frames per Second, you can save a lot of time changing it to 1080 resolution at 25 Frames per Second.

So you can do that by pressing on the Mode button and select 25 FPS then press the Shutter button to activate it
