Mark an Email as Unread in Gmail on iPhone 6
Edited by Freya, Sid Bedekar, Eng
You are watching VisiHow. In this video, I am going to show you how you can mark an email as unread on the Gmail application on an iPhone 6.
Steps
1
To begin, we need to unlock the phone by pressing the lock button on the side or the home button at the bottom to bring up the lock screen
.
2
Swipe right to enter the passcode or we can use the fingerprint scanner to unlock the phone
.
3
Find the Gmail icon which is this white one with the envelope and tap once to open up the application
.
4
Since I have already entered in my email, we are automatically taken to our primary email list
.
If you need to add an account or switch to a different email, you can refer to our other video where we talk you through how to do that.
5
What we need to do in our email list is open up the email that we want to mark as unread
.
The emails with bold titles are unread and the ones with regular font are read emails.
6
We can tap this arrow in the top right-hand corner of the screen to bring up a new window
.
7
We are going to go to this envelope which is closed and says "Mark as Unread" and tap it once
.
8
When we tap on that option, it takes us back to our email list and we can see now that the email we marked as unread is in a bold font
.
I personally like to do this to remind myself to respond to an email.

This is a VisiHow video and I have just shown you how you can mark an email as unread on the Gmail application on an iPhone 6
