Hello, and welcome to VisiHow. In this video, we are going to show you how we can manually update BlinkFeed, and return to the top of the page when using an HTC One M8.

Steps

To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the Power button, located on top of the phone

Once the phone has been activated, we'll see the lock screen.

To unlock the phone, press down on the screen

Hold down, and swipe up. The phone will unlock.

First, we need to swipe to the right
.
We may need to manually update our BlinkFeed. If we've just looked at it an hour ago, and we want to see what new articles there are, we'll need to update it so that it will show us the new article.

To do that, just press down on the screen and swipe down
.
It will be a very fast movement. We will hear what sounds like a hiss or rattle. Then at the top it will say, "UPDATING..." Let's do it again. Just press down and swipe down. We will hear the hiss and it's updating. If there are any new articles or feeds, then they will be shown here at the top.

The next thing we are going to learn is how to quickly return to the top of our BlinkFeed

We may have scrolled down looking for something interesting. Scroll down by swiping the screen upwards. Now we don't want to have to scroll all the way back to the top, as it would take some time.

We can press this icon here, the home icon
.
It won't take us to the home screen. Instead, we will go to the top of this screen. Press down on the home icon, that looks like the outline of a house on the bottom of the screen.

We can see it just took us straight back to the top
