Manage Your Email Account from Samsung Galaxy S2

We cannot always bring our laptops with us to check our emails, so it's a good thing most of the smartphones today have the capability to send and receive emails. This means emails can be sent or received easily - from almost anywhere. Setting up emails on a smartphone may not seem easy at first, but if you just follow the steps below, you'll find it much simpler than you imagined.
Adding a POP3 Account
Follow these steps to setup the email on your Samsung Galaxy S2 smoothly. These steps work on Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync accounts.

On the main home screen, tap on "Applications"

Tap on "Menu" on the lower left hand side

Tap on the "Plus Sign (+)" on the top right hand corner to add an account

Tap on the "Email Address" box to type in your email address

Tap on the "Password" box to be able to type in your email password

Tap on "Done" on the lower right of the on-screen keyboard

Tap on "Next" on the lower right hand corner of the screen

On this screen, you can choose to set the number of days you want to sync your emails to your phone

Set the email as the primary sending account.

Set notifications and sync your contacts to your phone

Type an account name if you wish to use one and tap "Done"

You will now see that the account has been added

All your emails should be coming in.
Adding a Microsoft Exchange Account

On the main home screen, tap on "Applications"

Scroll down and tap "Accounts and Sync"

Tap on "Add account" below

Tap on "Microsoft Exchange Active Sync"

Enter your username and password
.

After your credentials have been entered, tap on "Manual Setup"

Enter you domain information and exchange server and tap "Next".

Wait while your phone checks your account information.

When a smaller box appears, tap on "OK" to continue

You can customize some of the email settings on this screen and tap "Next"

You can type a name for the account and tap "Done"

You will now see that your email has been added and your incoming messages are coming through

Setting the Default Email Address

Tap on "Email" on the home screen

Tap and hold the account you want to set as default

In the Inbox, tap on the "Menu" button on the lower left hand side

Then tap on "More" on the lower right

Tap on "Account Settings"

Tap on "Default Account" and make sure it has a checkmark

Tap on the back button below and the changes should have been applied.
Changing the Email Settings

Tap on "Email" on the home screen

Tap and hold the account you want to edit

Tap on "Account Settings"

On the Settings screen, you can tap on the information you want to change such as notifications, server settings and email options

For this example, we will change the outgoing server settings.

After making the changes, tap on "Next" to save them

Deleting an Email Account

Tap on "Email" on the home screen

Tap and hold the account you want to delete

Tap on "Delete" to confirm

This should apply the changes.
Tips Tricks & Warnings
- Your account information and server settings are from your service providers. *Email settings are different depending on your email domain.
- It is best to contact your email provider for the accurate settings so you won't have any problems with setting up your email.
