You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we are going to demonstrate how to manage your Google storage options.
Steps
- 1
- 2
- 3In this video, 11 GB are used, 6 GB is in Google Drive, 5 GB is in Google Mail. There are a couple of videos on VisiHow on how to free up some space on Google Drive. They are available at Free Up Space in Gmail and Delete Old Messages in Gmail.Once we hover over the amount of storage used, we will be shown how the information is allotted between our accounts.
- 4We can see the files sorted by the "Quota used" value. We can delete them as appropriate. In this video, there are a lot of image files among the files. There is another VisiHow video on how to send Google Drive image files over to Flickr. It is available at Synchronize Google Drive Photos with Flickr. In this video, files are being uploaded to Flickr (the play icon in Flickr is clicked to do that). Once the process has been completed, the JPG files can be deleted from the Google Drive account. The movie files should not be deleted, as Flickr does not upload movies automatically, even though some number of movies can be put into Flickr account manually. We click "Drive".
That was how to check your Google Drive storage space and how to remedy a lack of storage space. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them in the space below. Thank you for watching!
