Every phone's main purpose is to let you communicate with the people that really matter to you. Every great feature on any phone is merely a happy add-on. People's social need to communicate on-the-go, pushed man to create something that enables him to get in touch with important people, no matter where he is. Like any other phone, Samsung Galaxy Note3 allows you to communicate with your contacts. Contacts are the people who matter to you. This article will teach you how to create, delete, edit and manage your contacts using your Galaxy Note3.

Open the Contacts App on Samsung Galaxy Note3
To open the Contacts app on your Galaxy Note3, follow the procedures in this section:
- 1You have two ways of going back to your home menu - one is to tap on the Home key once to get to the home menu, and the other one is to tap on the Back key a few times until you are taken back to the home menu.Go to your home menu.
- Alternative: You can also tap on the Apps icon from the home screen and look for the Contacts app from the app list. This may take a little longer, but there will be situations when you find this alternative method useful (e.g., if you have accidentally removed the Contacts icon from the favorite tray, or you are on the app list already, and tapping on the Contacts icon from the list instead of going back to the home screen is the faster option).
Create a New Contact on Samsung Galaxy Note3

- 1You have two ways of going back to your home menu - one is to tap on the Home key once to get to the home menu, and the other one is to tap on the Back key a few times until you are taken back to the home menu.Go to your home menu.

- SIM - allows you to save the new contact on your SIM card. Once the SIM card is removed, you cannot view the saved contact on your phone. This option may come in handy, especially if you have the tendency to transfer your SIM card from one phone to another, from time to time.
- Google - allows you to save the new contacts to your Google account. When synced with your phone, all contacts on your Google account will show regardless of what phone you are using.
- Samsung Account - allows you to save the new contact to your Samsung Account. This follows the same logic as the Google option; when synced with your phone, all contacts on your Google account will show regardless of what phone you are using.

Send Emails Using Contacts
There are three ways to search for a contact using your Samsung Galaxy Note3. The following are:
- 1This is the basic and most common way. By default, contacts are listed chronologically. If you want to search for a contact that starts with a Z, you need to scroll down to the bottom of the list to see that contact. This type of searching is the most time-consuming way to search for contacts.Manual scroll and search.
- 2This is faster than the manual search. Instead of manually scrolling from A-Z, you would just have to tap on the letter on right side of the display to quickly go to the contact list that starts with that chosen letter. This alternative is an easier and faster way to search for contacts compared to the manual scroll and search.Use the letter on the right side of the display for quick manual search.
- 3This method is the fastest among the three. Tap on the Search box located at the top of the contacts screen. Input the name of the contact and results will start showing every time you enter a character. You do not need to completely type in your contact's full name, as results can show you the chosen contacts after a few characters entered. This is the fastest way but requires you to memorize your contact's name and the correct spelling.Use the Search button to search.

If you have linked your phone to your Google+ account, your Google+ profile will show instead. This is under the ME categorization on your contacts. You will see My Info or the name entered on the initial device setup.
- 4This will open your profile information. If you are linked through Google+ some information may be available already. If you are not linked to Google+ and this is the first time doing this, the details may still be empty.Tap on your name or My Info.
- 5Simply tap on any field and enter the details intended for that field.Add or edit details on your contact profile.

Questions and Answers
The connection section is no longer there to allow you to unmerge contacts. How can I unmerge now?
It is still possible to unmerge contacts that have been previously merged. When unmerged the previous name on the merged data will be on the phonebook again. To unmerge contacts follow these:
- Go to your Home Menu by pressing on the Home button once.
- From your Home Screen tap on Contacts located on the Favourites bar.
- You will now be taken to the Contacts. Locate the contact where a merge was previously done and tap on it. On later versions merged has been termed as "linked".
- Upon tapping, you will see the Contacts details. In the Connections section, you will see a Samsung icon ("S"). This is an indication that there is a merged/linked contact to the selected one.
- Tap on the link icon (represented by a chain) located on the extreme right of the Samsung icon.
- You will now see the Linked Account page where the details for the linked/merged accounts are available.
- Tap on the minus icon (-) to separate the selected contact. Confirm the action by tapping on the "OK" button.
- You are done with unmerging / unlinking your contacts.
In order to bring up the merge contacts and unmerge contacts option you will need to go to your contact list and then press the menu button on your device to see the options you have to perform.
How do I make Google the default place to store my contacts when adding new ones?
How do I make Google the default place to store my contacts when adding new ones
I have located the way that your contacts will automatically be stored to your Google account rather than only being stored on your device. By merging them with Google you will be able to transfer devices with your Gmail account in order to bring back up all the contact that you have saved on your device:
-Go to contacts.
-Press the Menu button.
-Select the option Merge Accounts.
-Tap on Merge with Google.
-The next pop up will say that your contacts will be merged with Google.
-Simply tap OK to finish the process.
Now all of your contacts will be merged with your Google account from now on when adding contacts or the saved contacts you already have in your device.
