Manage Contacts on Samsung Galaxy
Edited by Grimm, Margiebell, Eng
Hello you are watching VisiHow and today we are going to show you how to move, merge and migrate your contacts from the contacts manager in the settings of your Samsung Galaxy S5 or your Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini, also this works on Android and any device running Android 4.4 or above. Please tap on apps to get started.
Steps
1
If you cannot see apps, then make sure you press the home button
.
To get to home.
2
If you are still having trouble, you can swipe down from the top of your screen and you can tap on the settings icon. For our purposes, we are going to tap on apps.
3
And then we are going to tap on this settings icon right here
.
4
We are not going to tap on contacts because the contacts manager under settings is different than the actual physical phone contacts manager
.
So, lets tap on settings.
5
As you can see, we're on contacts, but to show you from the top, we're going to scroll down from quick settings
.
Let's minimize that.
6
We're going to go past network settings, we're going to go past connect and share, we're going to go past sound and display, we're going to go past personalization, we are going to go past motion, we are going to go past user and backup, and we are also going to go past system
.
7
We are going to go all the way down to applications, which is the last section in our phone
.
8
We're going to tap on contacts
.
9
Now, we have the option under contacts to import/export, we can choose which contacts to display, we can swipe a contact to call or send a message, we can only show contacts with phone numbers, we can sort by first name, display contacts, service numbers, send contact information, and accounts
.
10
In this case, we are going to click on import/export
.
11
I want to import from SIM card 1
.
12
I want to save my contacts to the device
.
13
I want to save all of these contacts
.
14
These are my three contacts that are on the phone
.
We'll select done.
15
Saving the contacts to the device
.
I can tap settings.
16
I can tap settings again
.
Now, you should be able to see that my Barbara contact will actually have a phone number now. Let's go ahead and tap that and see. Just keep in mind that I am going to block out the phone number so that no one calls.
17
Barb's details. Have all been merged in to one. So now, I can simply tap back.
18
And I can click on this Barb contact which is saved to my SIM
.
I can tap over here.
19
And I can delete this because I no longer need it
.
Delete.
20
Now, if I tap on Barbara again, I still have all of Barbara's details, and all of Barbara's information. Let's go back.
21
And that is how you manage and move, and take care of your contacts on your Samsung Galaxy S5
.
Thanks very much for watching VisiHow, and have a great day.
