Make a lyric video using Windows Movie Maker

Edited by Ronniel Javier, Lynn, Charmed, Alma and 13 others

Doing a nice lyric video for your favorite songs is a great way to be creative. You can upload it right away to your YouTube channel to collect a vast number of accumulating views. I used to do lyric videos, especially if I wanted to impress the girl that I was courting, using their pictures, song and lyrics to put in my slideshow. Windows Movie Maker is a great tool, and suitable for any beginners who want to start a simple video production without having any skills. So let's get started.

Instructions

Tips Tricks & Warnings

  • Fit your time duration to your music. Click the "Project" tab and hit the "Fit to music" icon. This will automatically stretch your time frame.
  • Use Bebas font. Bebas font is a great font for a text-based video presentation, because it looks decent and is still cool.
  • Save your work from time to time. When working, get in the good habit of saving your work frequently, because your computer might crash at any time and you don't want to risk losing all your hard work.

Trying to create a lyrics video using Windows movie maker?

Hi, I'm new to this and this is actually my first video and the first time using Windows movie maker

You can do this. You have to import the video and then lodge the video clips into your timeline. Look through the task pane and then find "edit movie". From there, you will find an option named "make titles or credits". You then need to select "add title on the selected clip on the timeline". Further, you need to go to "more options" and then select "subtitle". From there, you can edit the text.

Are there any other applications or could you help me to get started?

Is there any other way or application that I can use, other than iMovie and Windows. I'm using my Macbook, and I really wanted to make a lyric video for one of my favorite songs; but I just don't know how? Is there any way to help me please.

We can list some free software for you:

In iMovie, you can click the plus icon in the "Project Library" to create a new project. You can name it and click "Create". Click "iMovie" > "Preferences" > "General". Enable "Show Advanced Tools". Close the window. Now, add music by clicking the note icon in the lower-right corner (drag it to the timeline). You can insert images too by clicking the camera button (double-click images to change their duration in the timeline). You can drag video clips as well. Play the song until each lines starts and pause it each time. Right-click the spots and choose "Add Comment Marker". You will know where to put new lyrics lines. Click the "T" icon in the lower-right corner to add lyrics. Drag a title style to the image to one of the marked spot. Type your lyrics in the preview window. Change the duration of the lyrics by dragging its ends in the timeline.
