Make a Pom Pom Rug
Edited by Doug Collins, Eng, Inukshuk
I would like to thank Rebecca Kelsey for the awesome video on how to DIY Shag Rug. I organized it into a wiki for anyone with a hearing impairment, or for those who just prefer to read the steps. Hope you enjoy it. :)
1
Today I'm going to show you how to DIY a Pom Pom Rug which I saw on Pinterest, and I just had to try it.
2
The supplies you are going to need are a T-Shirt or a piece of fabric, and length and width will depend on how big you want your Rug
.
3
You need also scissors, Pom Poms, and glue
.
Now I am cutting the shirt to size.
4
Put a drop of hot glue on the shirt
.
"I got the Pom Poms at the Store and I thinks I bought 6 to 8 packs, I needed a lot more than I thought I did. So make sure to buy an extra amount and keep the receipt so you can return whatever you don't use".
5
Then, immediately place the Pom Pom on it
.
6
So, just continue all the way through your fabric
.
"You can also use the normal Elmer's glue rather the hot glue but it will take significantly longer time to dry, I prefer using hot glue for as many things as I can since it dries so quickly and it is easy to use".
7
"It felt bad to mess up the pattern because I ran out of certain colors"
.
But still it looks pretty cute.
8
When you're done, cut off the excess of the shirt if there is any
.
"That's how I made it. It feels very comfortable but it doesn't feel as soft as I thought it would feel because you can feel the glue underneath, so it's not horribly soft but it's still not hard either".
9
This would be great for your kitchen or for your guest bathroom or for the kids room
.
10
There are a lot of ideas for this
.
11
So, thank you so much for watching I hope that you enjoyed it
.
12
Make sure to check out more of my DIY videos because I have quite a few of them and I think you would love them
.
I will be seeing you very soon.
