Anyone can do it, and as bad as I am with my hair, this is something I can do

I admire people that are able to do all kinds of hair styles using the hair dryer and the hair waves. I am not as good as that, but these are the simple things that basically anyone can do. If you have a daughter or a little sister, you could train with them as well. As you can see not all my hair I the same length.

Do you have suggestions for Nigerian hair styles for braids?

I have shorter kinky hair and I want to wear braids.. I have tried: I have tried hair extensions but I have not braided them.. I think it was caused by: I don't have long hair so I need a good style for a braid that I can wear very close to the scalp. Yarn braids or Genie Locs are a great braid for short hair. The pin up style of hair should make me look like a forties pin-up.. I have tried: I Have used a lot of foam coils, hairspray and bobby pins.. I think it was caused by: I would like my retro hair pin up style to look authentic - like the hairstyles on on Mad Men.

The key to these hairstyles is proper sectioning and day old hair. You want to begin at the front section of your hair all the way back to your crown and use a teasing comb to boost your hair volume from the roots. Twist from left to right (backwards twist) the section of hair and push forward to create a bump. Secure with bobby pins or a small clip. You can do two smaller ones on the sides of you head as well. This is one of the most common hairstyles of that day. The ends of your hair can be finished off by under rolling with a large curling iron or hot rollers. Consider having Betty Page bangs. The picture below shows a short bang curled under with curled hair. You can cut your bangs straight across medium length and do a bigger curl like this.
