Make a Paper Crane
Edited by Alexander Avdeev, Eng
A simple paper toy can warm the heart of any person and cheer him or her up, especially when the toy is mobile and can be played with. There are no tools necessary for that, but you might need a pencil and scissors just to make sure that the toy is perfect.
Steps
1
Take any rectangular sheet of paper, fold the paper diagonally so that the edge of the shorter side runs along the edge of the longer
.
2
Fold the remaining unfolded rectangular strip and cut it off to form a triangle
.
3
Fold the square along the other diagonal.
4
Fold it horizontally and vertically
.
Then, unfold the sheet.
5
Take opposite corners and pull them to each other as shown
.
Do it for every pair of corners.
6
For the hardest part, you have to fold the paper in the manner demonstrated to get to a shape consisting of two isosceles triangles with a common side
.
7
Unfold one triangle and pull it downwards
.
8
9
Repeat it for the opposite side
.
10
Now pull the largest triangles from the opposite sides upwards to form the shape in the tutorial
.
11
Take out the neck and the tail and form the head upon the neck
.
12
Release the folded paper and tug the tail for the bird to flap its wings
.
