Hi. You're watching VisiHow, and this is a tutorial on how to make a web note in Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 computers.
Steps
1
The first thing that we need to do is open Microsoft Edge, and in this case the icon is located on the taskbar
.
2
Click on the icon to open Microsoft Edge
.
3
Now, we need to go to a website
.
We'll go to VisiHow.com.
4
Once the site has loaded, we need click on the icon labeled "Make a Web Note" in the upper right corner of the window
.
The icon looks like a square with a diagonal line running through it.
5
Now, we have a selection of tools
.
6
The first icon on the far left represents a "Pen"
.
7
If we click on the small arrow in the lower right corner of that icon, then we can choose different colors or sizes
.
8
To use the "Pen", we can simply write on the webpage by clicking and moving the mouse
.
For example, we can circle objects or make some scribble marks.
9
The second tool at the top left is a "Highlighter"
.
10
If we select that tool, we can then highlight text
.
11
We can also click on the small arrow in the bottom right corner to change the color or size of the Highlighter tool
.
12
The third tool is the "Eraser"
.
13
If we select that tool and click the right corner arrow, we can "Clear all ink", which will erase all the marks we've made on the page at once
.
14
We can also click on any marks we made to erase them individually
.
15
The next tool can be used to "Add a typed note" anywhere on the page
.
16
Select the fourth tool and then click anywhere on the page
.
A text box will appear, within which we can add a note.
17
We can delete the note by clicking on the trash bin icon in the lower right-hand corner of the text box
.
18
We can leave the note by clicking anywhere else on the page
.
19
The final tool is "Clip"
.
20
As soon as we select the "Clip" tool, it will instruct us to "Drag to copy region"
.
21
For example, if we want to copy an image of the frog on this page, we'll click the left mouse button and hold down as we drag to make a square around the image
.
22
When we let go of the mouse button, a note will appear stating that the image is "Copied!" to the clipboard
.
If we open a Paint program or any other type of image editor, we can paste the image of the frog there.
23
To save the changes, we need to click on the disc icon in the upper right corner that's labeled "Save Web Note"
.
24
Next, we can click to send it to "OneNote"
.
25
We can select the start icon to add the note to our "Favorites"
.
26
Alternatively, we can add it to the "Reading List"
.
27
Let's go ahead and add it to our "Favorites"
.
28
29
We can also choose another directory if we have more than one
.
30
We'll just leave the name and location as is and click on "Add"
.
Now, the web note has been saved.
31
We can now click on "Exit" in the upper right-hand corner
.
32
This concludes our tutorial on how to make a web note in Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 computers
.
