   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button located on the right-hand side of the phone

   Once the phone is activated, it will display the lock screen.

   Swipe the lock screen up to display the home screen

   On the home screen, find the Instagram tile

   In the example, it is located on the bottom of the home screen. There's a navy blue background with a camera in the middle. If the Instagram tile is not pinned to the home screen, swipe left to find it in the apps menu. Once the tile is located, press down on it to open the application.

   To only share Instagram posts with friends, first tap the three blue dots in the bottom right-hand corner

   We want to make the posts private. What this will do is it will only allow friends or contacts to view posts. Normally, when something is posted on Instagram, it can be seen by anybody, especially if a hashtag is added. The post will be added to the hashtag group where anyone can view it.

   When "settings" appears in blue writing, press down on that

   Tap "Edit Profile", the first option

   Make sure the settings are currently in the "you" section. "you" will be at the top in big blue lettering.

   At the bottom in blue text, it says, "Posts are Private" with a black box to the right of it; tap that

   This will bring up a prompt that says, "You are turning Privacy on

   .

   From now on, only people you approve will be able to follow your photos and videos. Are you sure?". If you're sure that you want to do this, press "OK". If you've changed your mind, press "cancel".

   If "OK" is tapped, there will be a checkmark in the box to the right of "Posts are Private"

   Now only friends can view the posts. Permission must be given before anybody can view your posts or profile.
