Steps

To get started, turn the phone on by pressing the power button on the right-hand side of the phone

This will bring up the lock screen.

Once the lock screen has been activated, swipe up to unlock the phone and access the home screen

Find and press the Cool Tiles tile to open the application
.
We can see the tile near the bottom of the screen on this device. It has a purple background with a phone and different colored tiles inside of it in the middle. If the Cool Tiles tile is not pinned to the home screen, swipe left and find it in the apps menu.

We want to swipe left until we are in the "TILES" section

There is a tile made up of four different colors next to it.

We now need to create a new tile, and to do that, we can press the white plus sign in a circle at the bottom

The first thing we should do before making it transparent is choose the application we want to make the tile for

We can do that by pressing the white cog in a white circle at the bottom of the phone. It says the word "app" underneath of it.

Press down on the chosen application

To make the tile transparent, we can press the checkbox to the left of "transparent" at the top of the screen

There will be a checkmark after it's selected.

Now we can see that this tile is transparent because we can see the background image behind it

We can edit it further if we want

We are now ready to pin the tile to our home screen, which we can do by pressing the white pin icon at the bottom left-hand side of the screen

It says the word "pin" underneath of it.

Now we can see the YouTube tile at the bottom of the screen

We can also see it's not transparent, which might raise some questions. The thing is, the tile will not be transparent if there's no background image on the home screen. Even though we have selected this tile to be transparent, it's not going to be until we make some other changes.
