Hi, you're watching VisiHow. My name is Kara, and in today's video I will show you how to do the flower design using nail polish and a needle.
Steps
1
I just need a couple bright colors, which in my case are blue and red nail polish
.
It doesn't have any sparkles, but it's shiny. I will also need something for the background. I'm using the white nail polish, but you can use any other color. I'm also using golden sparkles, a needle, some pads, and nail polish remover and Q-tips just in case. So, let's start.
2
What I'm doing is I'm creating a background for my flowers
.
This color is barely noticeable, but we need to have some base for the following work. It's just not going to sit as well if you try to make flowers on your bare nails.
3
I think I should go with two layers just to give it a good texture
.
4
Let's blow so they dry a little faster
.
5
Let's close the nail polish since we're not going to need the white one anymore
.
Let's put it away.
6
So now what I'm going to do next is I'm going to take these two nail polishes at once
.
You can go for any other color if you want. I'm choosing these two guys. Let me zoom in so you can see it better. I'll need to work really fast with these two before they dry off.
7
Let's start with the smallest finger
.
I need to put some drops - just tiny little drops, not too big. One, two and three.
8
And the same thing with the other color
.
One, two and three. I'm putting it right next to the blue one.
9
10
And from the center, I draw a line out
.
I need a napkin to wipe my needle off. And the same thing here - from the center, I draw a line out.
11
I can dip it in the blue color as well and draw a line out
.
12
That's sort of a triangle version of a flower
.
I can show you a different version where you make the drops bigger. Then your flower, of course, will be bigger too.
13
I'm making thicker drops this time
.
14
15
So dip the needle into the red and draw a line
.
16
Let's do it on this finger
.
Let's put the drops closer to each other and you'll see what you can make out of it.
17
Take the red one and do one, two and three
.
18
Dip in the red, and draw a line
.
19
You can add to the leafs on the flowers
.
After the three, let's go with five. One, two, three, four and five.
20
And we can put the red one in the center
.
21
Let's see what we can do from that
.
One, two, three, four and five. This looks more like a star, but we can shape it into a flower. This happens. I just put too much red.
22
And let's do something here
.
Let's do the five leafs. One, two, three, four and five.
23
One, two, three, four and five
.
24
And I can put some red in the center - just a tiny bit this time
.
25
So from this, let's drag it out here, here, here, here and here
.
And so far, the thumb turned out to be the prettiest flower!
26
If you want to alter the shape, you can add some lines with the needle
.
It also gives it an interesting combination of colors. If you can see, the blue has some spots with purple and red. I think it's quite nice
27
If you want to redo everything else, you're welcome
.
These were kind of strange flowers I would say. This one is the prettiest so far. So next time I will know, and I will choose this one.
28
I'll just add a hint of shininess to my flowers
.
Just a tiny bit.
29
In the center, like this
.
30
This one looks strange, so I can shape it with my needle
.
Just drag the golden polish around the shape. It's not perfect, but I was experimenting.
31
This is the flower design I would go for
.
