You're watching VisiHow. Today, I'm going to show you how to log a workout on the MapMyRun application on the iPhone 6.
To begin, we should unlock the phone by pressing the Lock button located on the right-hand side of the phone.
Alternatively, we can press the Home button at the bottom of the screen.
Swipe to the right, and we can enter a Passcode, or use the fingerprint scanner by pressing a finger to the Home button.
Find the MapMyRun icon, which is blue and white with a man running inside of a white circle. Tap on it once to open the application.
It automatically takes us to the map screen, where we can begin to record a workout.
However, to log a workout, we should tap on the three horizontal lines in the top left corner. This will bring up a menu.
The second option on the menu after "Record a Workout" is "Log a Workout", which has the icon of a pencil on the left-hand side.
Then we can edit each detail on the "Log Workout" screen if we did not record it at the time of the workout.
Tap on "Name" at the top to bring up the keyboard. We can then change the details of the run.
Tap on "Date" to add the date by scrolling through the month, date, and year at the bottom of the screen.
Press "Done" to save or "Cancel" if desired.
Press on "Type", and scroll through the list of activity types to choose the type of run or activity it was.
On the "Activity Type" screen, we can choose from a list of "Recent" workouts, or we can tap on "All" to go through in alphabetical order with all kinds of different activities rather than just the most popular ones.
Go back by pressing on "Log Workout" at the top left corner.
Then we can "Select Route" by tapping on that option if we used a particular route we have run before.
Tap on "Log Workout" at the top left corner again to go back.
Tap to change the "Distance".
Then choose numbers by scrolling through them at the bottom of the screen.
For "Duration" as well, we can scroll through the numbers that represent the hours, minutes, and seconds. We'll choose 1 hour and 6 minutes. Press "Done" on the right to accept the change.
Tap on "Privacy" where we can then determine if we want to share the workout on our MapMyRun activity feed or on Facebook.
We can also tap on "Only Me" to just save it for our own record.
When satisfied with all of the changes, press "Save" in the top right corner. It may take a moment to load while it saves our workout.
Then a message will appear that says, "Great workout! Did the app work well for you?" Choose "No" on the left or "Yes" on the right.
Tap on "Activity Feed" at the top left of the next screen to return to that area.
That workout will then be added to the Activity Feed and our most recent workouts.
Go back by pressing the three horizontal lines at the top left corner.
Then tap on "Record a Workout" at the top of the menu, and it will take us back to the map screen where we started.
