In this video tutorial, we're going to teach you how to prevent damaging your voice or your vocal cords. There are several ways and several things you must know and consider when talking about the voice. We use our voice every day in order to converse, to show emotions, and to express ourselves. That is why voice is a very challenging instrument in order to be maintained in good form and in good health. For that reason, we need to have strict restrictions for our voice.

    Remember to drink plenty of warm water when singing
    .
    Always have water nearby. When you're thirsty, drink water so that you can keep your vocal cords hydrated.

    Remember to protect your vocal cords from harm
    .
    Stay away from excessive amounts of alcohol and smoking. Even second-hand smoking is detrimental to one's voice!

    Always remember to get a good sleep

    It is very important that you are well-rested for a next-day performance or singing class. This way you will decrease tension on the cords. If you are relaxed enough, you will be able to sing having a wide vocal range.
