In this tutorial, we're going to demonstrate how to install a high-contrast plug-in for the Chrome browser by Google. The plug-in will enable you to lower the screen brightness while browsing.

Steps

    Click the search bar.

    Type "high contrast chrome".

    In this video, the first search result is clicked. This will reveal the high contrast plug-in by Google. Alternatively, click the direct link.

    Click "ADD TO CHROME".

    Click "Add extension". The extension will be added to the Chrome toolbar in the top-right corner. The icon for the extension is a half-black and half-white circle.

    Double-click the icon or press "command" + "shift" + "F11" to activate the extension. It will show "High Contrast is Enabled".

    To disable the extension, click the "Disable" button.

    To see how this looks, open a new tab. Any new tabs you open from this moment will be in high contrast (inverted colors).

    Let's navigate to a web site. Type https://visihow.com, for example. You could see how white on the page shows up with high brightness.

    You can change the contrast by clicking the half-white and half-black circle again.

    Instead of "Inverted Color", you can click "Yellow on Black".
