You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial, we're going to demonstrate how to install Android system updates on the Nexus 6P. You may notice whenever you look at your phone notifications screen, it may show "System update available".

    If you double-tap "System update available", then you will have to enter your passcode

    Then, the phone will take you to the update screen.

    Swipe down from the top with two fingers to reveal the gear-shaped icon in the top-right corner

    Now in "Settings", scroll down to "About phone"

    You can tap on the "DOWNLOAD" button

    Once the download has been completed, tap on "RESTART & INSTALL"

    It is on the bottom right-hand side of the screen. The phone will take several minutes to install the update.

    When the phone reboots, you will need to unlock the phone
    .
    The updating process will continue. It's showing that it's optimizing each one of the individual applications that you have installed on your Android. If you have many apps installed, this process may take longer. At the end of the upgrade, the phone is going to bring you to your lock screen as normal.
