Hello and welcome to VisiHow. Today I'm going to show you how to install a chain link in a chain for any type of bicycle.

   This is a chain link

   The reason we insert a chain link is because it allows easy access to the chain and means the chain can be taken off or opened at any time rather than having to destroy it or having to break a chain in order to open it.

   Take one end of the chain and insert one chain link

   On the other end of the chain, insert the other chain link

   With these to chain links attached it is now possible to rejoin the chain

   Place the two chain links together, once inserted, pull, and the chain link will connect the chain.
