Questions and Answers
Ubuntu 13.10 official repository?
Why isn't XMMS onto Ubuntu 13.10 official repository?
I think the Ubuntu 13.10 or also known as Saucy Salamander is not a Long-term support release, as speaking of a LTS release these releases are more like some kind of independent release. Also, you will need some security updates for it by getting them manually. Maybe in the near future, the releases of this would have an official built in applications in its official repository like XMMS
or XMMS 2.
What is the procedure for installing XMMS?
I've never tried to install XMMS before.

I am trying to install it on Centos 6.5?
Are there instructions for that?
This may not be possible yet, especially that a lot of crashes are being reported for CentOS 6.5. It is known to fluctuate a lot and not to be compatible with various types of apps.
Hi, I downloaded the package but am struggling with how to install. I'm quite new to Linux.
Is there an executable file like they have in Windows, or do I have to go via rpm installer (I think that's what it is called, it's been a long time since I messed with Linux).
