You're watching VisiHow. In this video, we're going to show how to install a lens filter onto the Canon T4i (650D) camera. A good reason to install a lens filter is to protect your expensive lens from minor scratches that you may get while you're working. A lens filter is much cheaper than a lens.

    To start with, make sure you are getting the right size of the filter

    On this lens, you will see a little circle with a line through it and the number 62. That is the diameter of the lens in millimeters. Make sure you get a filter with the matching number.

    Check the lens filter for numbers

    In this video, there is a "UV 62mm" label on the lens filter. This is a matching number.
