Steps
- 1To get started, go to the Arc Games website at www.arcgames.com/e/games.
- 2The next thing to do is navigate to the Neverwinter Elemental Evil download.
- 3Click on "Learn More".
- 4The information window contains a video trailer, some screenshots, along with a general description.
- 5There is also the option to "Play for Free".
- 6The page also shows game "News", "Key Features", and other ranges of options to scroll through.
- 7This will download the Arc installer. It is a relatively small file, and it installs very quickly.For now, begin by tapping on "Install Arc" at the top right corner of the screen.
- 8Once installed, the window will change, and the Neverwinter Arc setup will be available at the bottom of the screen.
- 9Click Yes at the prompt, and the installer will begin initializing. The installer will the begin downloading the game. The game download does take some time, as it is more than 3 GB. However, this is not as large as some other games.Click on the executable file at the bottom of the screen to begin the setup.
- 10At the next prompt, select the desired language from the drop-down menu.
- 11Then tap the "OK" button.
- 12The first window of the installation is basically a welcome message and lets you know that the install is about to begin.
- 13Click "Next".
- 14At the next screen, accept the software agreement by clicking next to "I accept", as failing to accept it means not being able to install the Arc software or play the game.
- 15Click "Next" to move on.
- 16The next window gives the option to install the file locally on the computer system or elsewhere.
- 17Click "Next".
- 18Then the installation will begin. To change anything, click on the "Back" button.At the next screen, click "Install".
- 19The Arc Install Wizard is a small file, so it will only take a minute to finish.
- 20To ensure that Arc opens after installing, be sure the box next to "Launch Arc" is checked.
- 21There is no need to check the box next to "Automatically launch Arc when Windows starts up".
- 22They are able to improve their product by themselves and don't necessarily need this information.Additionally, there is no need to "Share computer and system data" with them.
- 23Now, click the "Finish" button at the bottom of the screen.
- 24Minimize the browser window to see that the Arc system is updating.
- 25The system has also created an icon for Arc.

- 27Now that the Arc installer has completed, "Sign In" with Facebook to register and set up everything quickly.
- 28Alternatively, click on "Create a New Account" or "Login to Existing Account" by clicking on the appropriate button.

- 30Check the box to "Opt out" of their mailing list if desired. However, this is not advisable, as many times they offer free items and other pleasantries to make the gaming experience easier and more fun.After clicking on "Create a New Account", a new window will open.
- 31Scroll to the bottom of the information presented, and then click on "I Agree".
- 32Type in an email address, and choose a Display Name. If the display name is not currently in use, choose and enter a password.Now, a new game account can be set up by entering an Email Address, Display Name and Password.
- 33The next Account Information Overview screen shows the email address and display name.When all the information has been entered, click "Continue".
- 34Click on "Launch Arc".
- 35It will connect to your new account.
- 36Several Windows appear when Arc is opened.
- 37The Arc Defender will protect the account from access by others.The top window is "Arc Defender", which indicates that this computer has been saved to allow access to the account.
- 38The next window says the system is "Running Low on Disk Space". It suggests installing the program in a different location.Click "Continue to Arc".
- 39For this demonstration, we will install the game to our external drive.Click to browse and choose another folder for the installation.
- 40This will open everything attached to or on this computer.Click on "This PC".
- 41Now the game can be installed in this location.Click on Drive F, International, which has 464 GB of free space.
- 42Click "OK", and the download location has been changed.
- 43Progressive Download cannot be selected in this case because there is not enough information.
- 44Click on "Next" at the bottom to continue.
- 45To close the Arc program, right click and choose "Close".The next message that pops up explains that Arc will continue to run in the background.
- 46Close the current informational window by clicking on the "Close" button.
- 47It is currently downloading relatively slowly, which indicates that it will probably take a while to complete. In the meantime, there are several features to be explored in the Arc window.At the top left side of the Arc window, it shows the download status of Neverwinter.
- 48The Shopping Cart is located at the top right of the screen, just before the profile name.
- 49When something is selected to purchase or add-on from a game, those items will appear in this window. The option to select a payment method will also be available.Clicking the Shopping Cart will open a window where purchases can be made.
- 50From there, choose to go to your account or sign out.Click on the account name at the top right, and a drop down menu will appear.
- 51Click on the icon just to the right of the profile name to open account details.
- 52Account details to add or edit include "Security Questions" and answers, "Name", "Gender", "City", "Country", and "Birthday".
- 53On the left side, it also shows "Activity", "Games", "Friends", "Messages", "Security" and "Settings".
- 54This will show a list of games that you are currently playing or have downloaded.Click on "LIBRARY" at the top left of the screen.

Can't launch Arcsetup.exe on my Windows 10?
Nothing happened, no window. I've tried in compatibility mode, and a lot of different things. Nothing worked.

Windows 10. I can't install Neverwinter?
When I try to run "neverwinter.exe" to install it on my Windows 10 OS, I get this error: "You don't have permission to access that file". I have tried: I tried running the "exe" as administrator from the desktop and had the same error. I think it was caused by: I don't know
- 1Download the newest version of the Arc client.
- 2Keep your Windows 10 updated.

- 4If you are an administrator, than you can also see the permissions for specific folders by right-clicking them and selecting "Properties".

Fixing a startup issue with Neverwinter on Windows 8?
I seem to have a problem, on startup, when I run Neverwinter on Windows 8. I let the patch go through, I run as administrator (I've even done that) and I still encounter a Cryptic Application Crash.. I have tried: I've restarted my computer and I'm about to reinstall.. I think it was caused by: Going to try a new destination folder. Don't know if all the files are being installed properly.
