Install Adobe Flash Player and Stream flash Videos on Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Edited by Jerry Rivers, Lynn, Eng, Charmed and 9 others

In 2012, Adobe stopped supplying the Flash platform on all Android OS mobile devices. However, you can still download and install Adobe Flash yourself. Adobe will continue with updates for security, as well as other essential Adobe patches for you. They had spread via the media, to the public, that the reason that they discontinued Adobe Flash was they were releasing the HTML5. This occurred at the same time as the advent of the Jelly Bean operating system, which is hailed as having superior security protection on your Samsung mobile device. It is the "new kid in town" with the most current technology. With so much breaching of security by hackers in recent years, it is just another justification for people who decided they were done with Adobe, and uninstalled the very useful Adobe Flash. Some videos still demand the Adobe Flash. Just try to play the Instant Videos if you are a Prime Amazon subscriber without the Adobe Flash Player, or the still popular South Park Studios. The only "entertainment" on your Galaxy Note3 screen will be a message informing you that the Instant Video cannot play because Flash Player must be installed.

It will work well with the Firefox browser, however. If you are a die-hard Google Chrome user, you can still download Flashify, a similar flash to the Adobe Flash.

Questions and Answers

When I go to the Adobe's Download and download the latest updated Adobe Flash file for Android, my browser won't do anything?

If you are having problem with the download, check if your browser is blocking the actions, or is requesting permissions to download the file. These types of warnings and notifications are on the upper part of your screen just below the address bar. You can also download the latest flash player file directly at this link

You can download and install the flash player directly from your Android device. Just point your browser app to here:

For ICS/Jellybean version:

http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/installers/archive/android/11.1.115.81/install_flash_player_ics.apk

For older Froyo/Gingerbread version:

http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/installers/archive/android/11.1.111.73/install_flash_player_pre_ics.apk

Once installed, you can browse websites that use flash to test out the player. For better compatibility with flash, I would suggest you install and use the Boat browser from the play store.

After installing,it stalled at the settings page which says I need a plugin.Isn't flash a plugin by itself?

Some browsers, even the stock ones (the ones that come with the phone by default) do not have a flash player (a plug-in). If you have installed it correctly (the flash player), simply re-launch the app (the browser and the plug in) or reboot the phone for the settings to apply. If it still does not work, try Photon Flash Player & Browser. You can download the app on your app store or by going here:

Nothing happens when I download the file, still cannot view contents

After you have downloaded the file, you must run the installer on the phone. You can check it on the notifications panel or go to the "My Files" and the download folder then run the installer to have it on the phone. You need also to use a different browser, rather than the normal Internet browser that came in the phone. I suggest the UC browser then change its settings.

After you have downloaded the file, you must run the installer on the phone. You need also to use a different browser, rather than the normal Internet browser that came in the phone. I suggest the UC browser then change its settings. First things first, make sure that you enabled the Unknown resources on your mobile phone for you to download the add-on content to your mobile. Just go to the Settings then go to Security and look for the Unknown sources and put a check mark then exit. See the steps below on how you can install on your phone:
