Any time you switch phones or change phone carriers from one to another, you need to move your SIM card around. Usually this is a fairly simple process. However there are times where it's not. Sometimes you might have difficulty inserting a new SIM card because you don't know where to put it. Other times you may have a SIM card tray like the one in a new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, where there are two places for SIM cards. This just adds to the confusion, because putting the SIM card in the wrong slot means you may not be getting your SIM card to work the way you want to. Setting up primary and secondary functions when your card is in the slot other than the one you think it's in can cause problems for you.

Fortunately the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge makes this relatively clear, provided you know where the SIM card slot is. In this tutorial we are going to show you how to insert a SIM card into your Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Read on for how to perform this function.

   In order to put a SIM card in your Galaxy S7 Edge, you will need a Nano SIM

   In the image below we have placed a Nano SIM card on the home button of our Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. This should help you to identify whether or not you have the correct sized SIM card.

   Once you are certain you have the correct size SIM card, you can start

   Take your SIM card removal tool and place it in the hole on the top left side of your phone. Note that unlike the Galaxy S6 Edge, the SIM card removal tool does not actually sit in the hole. This to say that it will not go into the hole and rest without support. Instead you must push on it once it is in, and hold it. After pushing on it you will note that the SIM card tray slides out slightly.

   When this happens, remove the SIM card tool

   Then, grasp the SIM card tray with your fingers and carefully and gently pull out. It is extremely important that you are careful and gentle in this process due to the fact that the SIM card tray is plastic. Excessive pressure can damage or break it. We strongly recommend that if you are purchasing your Galaxy S7 Edge in a new shop or Samsung store, that you inspect inspect the SIM card tray before you leave to be sure it is not damaged in any way.

   You will then note on the actual SIM card tray that it has written SIM one and then SIM two, or microSD

   SIM cards and microSD cards always go into the SIM card tray face down

   This means the gold part of the SIM card or microSD card should always be facing down. In the image below you will see that the SIM card has been placed into the tray properly.

   If you are placing two SIM cards into the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, just put SIM two in the top slot

   Once you have placed the SIM card or cards into the tray, you will put the SIM card tray back into the top of the Galaxy S7 Edge

   Carefully slide it into the slot until the SIM card tray is firmly seated in the phone. Keep in mind that any time you add or remove a SIM card from your Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, the SIM card manager will open by default. What if the slot does not slide out enough for you to grip it?

It pushes out but just a little and not enough to hold on to it. The SIM card slog does not slide out as it is demonstrated in the article. I have tried: I inserted the tool, the slot barely slides, I have tried using the tool to pull out the slot with no avail. I think it was caused by: I am not really sure of what could be causing this, so I am now seeking help

I don't have a removal tool for the SIM card of my Galaxy 7 edge -?
