Insert a SIM Card in an iPhone 6S Plus

You're watching VisiHow. This is a tutorial on how to install a nano-SIM card onto the iPhone 6S Plus. It's important to note that beginning with the iPhone 5, Apple has been using nano-SIM cards. If you have an older iPhone, such as the 4S, 4 or the original iPhone, you will either need a micro- or a mini-SIM card. Check with your carrier about getting a SIM card.
In order to install the SIM card, you will need a SIM card removal tool, a nano-SIM, and your iPhone.
If you turn your phone so that you are looking on the right hand side, you will see a small slot with a hole. Take the pointy end of your SIM card removal tool firmly press on the hole.
The slot will open slightly, and you can use your fingers to pull out the nano-SIM card tray.
Then, you can turn the SIM card tray upside-down to empty the SIM card.
Now, you are ready to insert a new card. There is a small notch; so, make sure that the card is aligned and fits comfortably into the tray.
The data side of the card should point towards the bottom when the card is placed correctly in the tray.
Insert the SIM card tray back into the phone with the card logo and text facing upward.
The card should slide in most of the way without resistance. When there is some resistance, simply press the card into the phone.
The phone should then register your new SIM card.
