Increase the Time to Click the Home Button on iPhone 6

You are watching VisiHow and today we are going to show you how you can have more time to click the Home button on your iPhone 6.
To start with, let's give a single press to the Home button.
Swipe across the screen to get to the pass-code or PIN code section. You can also simply press and hold a finger or thumb on the Home screen button to use the built-in fingerprint scanner and get access to the Home screen.
Once you are on the phone, you will be on the Home screen and you will be looking for the silver boxed-shaped icon with a bunch of gears on it. This is the Settings icon. When you find it, just give the icon a quick tap.
The Settings will open up. You are going to scroll down to the third section and you are going to click on the first option which is General.
A quick press on General will take us on the General Settings menu. We are going to go to the third section which, this time, contains only one thing to click and that's Accessibility.
When we are in the Accessibility Settings window, we will scroll all the way down to the bottom and we are looking for the Home-click Speed option.
Tapping on Home-click Speed will open up a window where we will be informed that we can adjust the speed required to activate the double and triple click Home. Currently, I have it set to Default.
To give you an example of the speed, let's do a quick double press on the Home button. Now I got the double press to work.
Let's double press again. That was not fast enough.
A double press should open up my overview of all Windows (quickly do a double press). One press should take you back Home. Pressing slowly does nothing. Now, let's do the double press quickly and we will be brought back to the Windows overview then to the Home-click Speed menu.
Let's move the option down to Slow. It will flash a few times while updating the phone.
Double press the Home button on a slower pace and you will now see the Windows overview.
Let go back to the Home-click Speed menu and set it on the Slowest setting - tap Slowest. Give your phone a minute to finish updating.
Now try a double press on a very slow pace. This is the sort of thing you want to setup if you have someone whom you are giving the phone to, who is either a new user or not too familiar with iPhones or those who may have some issues or difficulties. You may not find it to be particularly helpful. I don't use it myself but that's probably because I am a man, and I am around 40 - I haven't bought myself a Corvette yet. I like to be able to click things quickly and pretend that I'm a young, spry fellow.
Let's give a single press to the Home screen and I will demonstrate another function which is the Vision Assistance. We can do three presses on the Home button for that. You can use your fingers to move around. I have opened up Zoom. As you can see, I am zoomed in.
Three presses on the Home screen will get rid of the Zoom mode. Now, let's do two presses to take us back to our Settings and let's switch back our Home-click Speed to Default. Now we will go back out of our Settings options. Give the Home button a single press to get back to the Home screen.
Give it a slow double press. It does not do anything because we set it back to the fastest speed. It, now, requires fast pressing.
Pressing the Home button for three times for the zoom, as I showed you earlier - nothing happens. You have to be very fast in pressing to be able to zoom around. Do a fast triple tap on the Home button to get rid of Zoom mode.
This is why the button-pressing assistive technology function that allows on pressing the Home button a little more slowly can be very helpful for a number of people across a wide-range of scenarios. This concludes our tutorial on how to give yourself more time to click on the Home button on the iPhone 6. If you need additional help or assistance or would like more information on this or other topics, please let us know in the comments section below and we will be happy to help you.
