In Samsung Galaxy Grand 2, how to move data from internal memory to external SD card
There are two articles that have elaborate procedures to free up some space on your internal memory and transfer files from there to the microSD card:
- "How to free up internal storage memory on Android devices";
- "How to free up the internal storage of an Android smart device.
Otherwise, you can use any file manager such as X-Plore, ES File Explorer, Astro File Manager, My Files, etc., to go to the root folder of your internal storage, entering folders like "DCIM", "ANDRO", "Pictures", "Music", "Videos", "Films", etc., to mark JPG, MOV, AVI, MP4, BMP, PCX, TIFF, GIF, MP3, FLAC, WAV, etc., files, and moving (not copying) them to the microSD card (external memory) in the same file managers. Basically, those are media files that can be located anywhere to be used. You can preform moving by either selecting "Cut" when marking files, and then pasting them onto the microSD card, or selecting "Copy" on the internal memory and then selecting "Move" when inserting them into the microSD card.
If you have problems with any of the steps in this article, please ask a question for more help, or post in the comments section below.
