   To begin, turn the phone on by pressing the power button, located on the right-hand side of the screen

   Now we are going to press the search button, which is the magnifying glass on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen to bring up Cortana

   Press that until Cortana is activated

   It is important to note that Cortana only comes activated on phones that exist in the United States of America. If your phone is from outside of the United States of America, Cortana will not be activated. It will exist on your phone, but you will need to activate it yourself by changing some settings.    As it is an American product, it responds best to American accents. Even as an English person, trying to speak to Cortana can be very difficult, as she has a lot of problems understanding my accent. So, for myself, and for all us Non-American speakers, we can make life a little bit easier for us by changing some settings. To do that, we're going to press this button up here at the top right-hand corner that looks like three horizontal lines, which is the settings button.

   Here we have "settings" at the bottom

   Then go down to "speech settings".
