How do I delete websites I've visited?

I have websites coming up in the search menu that cannot be deleted. I don't know if it is my phone or Chrome. Can you give me some insight?

To delete Google Chrome's history, do the following:

• Open Chrome.
• Press your Menu key, located on the lower left-hand corner of your device.
• Tap Settings.
• Tap Privacy under the Advanced menu.
• Tap Clear Browsing Data.

Your websites and searches will now be gone.
