You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial, we're going to show you how to identify a song with the SoundHound application on your iPhone 6.

   To begin, press the Home button

   This will open up the lock screen.

   From here, swipe across the lock screen and enter in a PIN or passcode; or, just press your thumb or fingerprint on the Home button, which also works as a fingerprint scanner

   Now we're looking for the SoundHound icon, which is sphere cut in half that makes up a letter "S" inside of an orange box labelled "SoundHound"

   Let's give it a single tap. This will open the SoundHound application.

   From here, we'll press the circle

   .

   It's the same icon as before. Press it to be able to listen to a song. In order to do that, we need to have songs.

   Press the button and play the song

   Bonus points to anyone who can comment in the comment section below about what song this is before SoundHound tells us. Let's get started by pressing the SoundHound button, and then turning on our music.

   As we can see, SoundHound very quickly figured out that this was "California Dreaming'" by The Mamas & the Papas on "Hits of Gold"

   That's pretty impressive. Obviously, we could probably find some more obscure music to do further tests on the limits of SoundHound. So far, the SoundHound application has served us well.

   To listen to other songs or find other music, press the white arrow button to go back

   This will take us back to the SoundHound menu, where we can once again press the "S" to listen to a song. Make sure to check out our other tutorial on how to hum or sing a song and have SoundHound pick that up.
