Now, besides the steps in the article, please do the following for your Samsung smartphones:

  • install and run System Info Droid onto your smartphone. Compare the results with the technical specifications on Samsung S7 Edge, Samsung A7, or Samsung A7 (2016), depending upon your smartphone;
  • measure the dimensions of and weigh your smartphone and compare the results to the official ones available in the previous bullet point;
  • enter the IMEI code at Samsung Extended Warranty Web page or click "Live chat" to talk with a Samsung representative and pass him your smartphone IMEI to look into your smartphone being real, refurbished, or fake;
  • install Smart Switch or Kies 3.0 onto your computer and connect your smartphone to the computer by using the original USB cable that came with the smartphone. If the smartphone is recognized by either program, then it is not fake.
