You can recover your password from Windows Live. You may have to go back through the verification process once you recover your password so go through the process anyway.

Login on the PC to resend a verification code to verify your Microsoft account. Occasionally it requires a verification but they do not send out a message. Instead you get an issue like not being able to update an app or login to the Microsoft account.

Nokia Lumia App Store Connectivity issues due to error : 80070490?

I have a Nokia Lumia which has got a problem getting apps out of the Windows Store. It produces an error code:80070490 whenever I try downloading

First, try changing the location of your phone. Switch from US to UK for example and see if the updates and connectivity error evaporates. You can switch back to your Country after you have gotten done what you were trying to do when the error occurred.

Second, under Settings and Email and App, the top account needs to be an Outlook or Hotmail email. If you put in your Gmail or Yahoo as the first preferred application, this will cause this error. Unfortunately, once you have done that, you have to hard reset the phone to erase that email and create an Outlook email and put it as the priority. Create one simply for phone use if you have not done so.

Third, if the first suggestion does not resolve your problem and you do have an Outlook account as your main email, you have to hard reset your phone. Frustratingly, Windows has made it so there are a few loopholes you can try with this error code but sometimes hard resetting is the only thing that resolves it. You can back up your phone before you do this but you will lose any customization that you did previously to the hard reset.

Whatsapp Support has several suggestions for your error. The biggest one to check from there list is to make sure that you do not have your background data restricted. If you are not connected to WiFi that is another reason that you are not getting past the screen.
