Questions and Answers

I've put my new SIM into my old phone, and it won't work, why not?

My phone is a Samsung CH@t 350, the SIM that was originally in it was a Tesco mobile pay as you go, the new SIM I put in is a Tesco mobile contract SIM. It keeps alerting me to insert a SIM card when I already have. I've tried cleaning the golden prongs with a soft dry cloth yet it's still not working.

If you've cleaned your SIM cards and SIM card slot gold contacts on your Samsung CH@t 350, and you're using a SIM card from the same network as before, you will need to go to Tesco nearest store and get a replacement SIM card. The SIM card you currently have is very likely defective, and replacing the SIM card with a new one will very likely take care of your issue. If not, the customer service representatives inside the store will be able to troubleshoot your issue -- including finding out whether or not your phone is properly set up for the new plan that you have with Tesco. Since you have already paid for the plan and the SIM card, the replacement SIM card will be free. However, if your phone has a hardware malfunction, you may have to pay to get it replaced or repaired.
