No, it is not necessary that the tow truck driver wait for the police if the vehicle is already towed at the time. Hello, my question is dealing with an incident yesterday. I pulled to a friend's home and while speaking with him I was still in my car. A tow truck passed by slowly and before I knew it, they were parking behind me where my car was not directly behind the truck as they were back to back now. A guy gets out of the passenger side and as he is walking up to my driver side he tells my friend when asked that "this is the car right here". I looked at him as he is trying to show me a piece of paper and I hear my friend say "pull off". I put my car in gear and drove off, as I looked in my rear view mirror and noticed the lifting gear out and on the ground in which they were about to lift the back of the car while I was still in it. It gets better. Now as I have pulled off a block away, I noticed the tow truck turning around and now they are speeding towards my vehicle. As I looked in the rear view and saw them coming up on me at a high rate of speed, I quickly speed off and noticed the tow truck was speeding up as well. Now, I am in the middle of a high speed chase in which the tow truck chased me across the railroad tracks and I am speeding through a residential neighborhood across a highway and 8 blocks later they finally stopped chasing because I lost them. Do I have any recourse in filing a lawsuit against the towing for company reckless endangerment? I could have been hit by a train, car or just wrecked.. I have tried: I have made a payment arrangement for Friday with the car company.. I think it was caused by: I was behind my payment.
