Broken screen problems. My LCD is broken on my Note3 and I need my pictures. The glass and display on my Galaxy Nexus broke, and I forgot to back up my photos. The screen went blank on my Note3: a new phone is being shipped, but I want to recover the existing files on my phone. My Galaxy S7 has a broken screen, and I can't change the setting to media transfer mode to be able to retrieve my data?

My 2 year old decided to play with my phone in the tub then sat it in the water when he was done with it. The screen is broken and can't change the setting to media transfer mode to be able to retrieve my data. I have tried: Kies, Smart Switch, and unlocking my phone using the Google account.

In all of these questions, it is unclear whether both the LCD and touchscreen are broken; so, we will assume that both are broken. In case of nonfunctional device owing to dropping it in water, take the battery out and let the device dry for several days. Then, follow the procedures below.
