I want to change my voice to be sweeter?

Very rough voice not at all sweet. I am interested in singing.

Remember that for every singer, there is an ear to appreciate the voice. Focus on what you can do, and don't strain your voice trying to sing too sweetly. Instead, cycle from your normal voice to a falsetto, and practice the sweeter and more difficult sounds early in your warm up. Make sure when you practice, that you drink lots of water. Also don't forget to stand up, instead of sitting. You'll also want to sing from the diaphragm. Another great pointer is to use more vibrato, even though that's often something many professionals and instructors frown on. The reason for that is that by using vibrato, you can push up a little higher over time, and sweeten your voice through practice and hard work.
