Being Happy Is Easier Than You Think
"If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands". Being happy is a state of mind and when we are happy it shows on our face. It is a natural process and we really don't need to learn how to be happy. Nowadays people are so stressed that they have forgotten how to be happy and need to be reminded how easy it is to switch that mood around.
We face stress everywhere in our life, in the house, in office, even when doing simple things like driving in traffic, or standing in a long queue while shopping. Is being happy in today's world that difficult? We all have difficult days when we are sad, angry or depressed due to certain events in our life, but staying in that condition doesn't help. You have to come out of it to face the situation and do something about it. Sometimes it just takes five minutes to lighten up your mood and get into the happy mode again. Let us follow some basic and simple solutions to be happy and make this world a happier place.
Method 1: Be grateful and count your blessings
There are days when everything goes against you. This makes you upset or unhappy. This is the time to be grateful for what you have received in life and thank god for that. When we recall in our mind the things we are grateful for, it sends positive emotions of love and gratitude and replaces negative emotions. There are so many things you can count your blessing for, like having a roof over your head, having awesome children, or a good job, mainly all the basic things in life that should keep us happy and content. Then tell yourself that there are more things to be happy about and few things to be sad for. So cheer up!!
Method 2: Appreciate yourself and others
Don't look down upon yourself. Appreciate yourself for what you are and what you have reached. If you are happy with yourself, then, and only then you will be truly happy. Remember that it is not just about you and stop complaining about others. Our basic nature is to criticize, so let's for once start appreciating others as this will make others happy and in turn send you good vibes. Appreciating things around us also helps to uplift our mood, so stop complaining.
Method 3: Be in the company you love
Sometimes when you are not feeling great, being in the presence of the right company will change your mood in an instant. So when you are feeling low or sad, be with someone who makes you happy.

We get stressed and upset, but we should really learn how to come out of it quickly. Let's be childlike and do some of the following silly things.

If you enjoy cooking or baking then there is no better stress buster. Making your favorite dish or baking your favorite cake or cookies will distract you and reset your mood. When you bake a cake and see it come out beautifully, it gives you immense happiness and you forget everything else. We don't realize it, but when our surroundings are messy we end up being cranky or irritated. When you're suddenly irritated and not sure why, look at the place around you. You may be going through a serious situation but finding humor in the smallest things helps you to take the situation lightly. Our sense of humor is one of the best gifts given to us and we need to explore it. If you begin to find humor in everyday things you will be able to sail through your problems.
