How do I merge two contact groups?

I bought new phone and when the phone data was transferred it created a populated contact group along with the contact group name in the new phone

Hello. The easiest thing do to is for you to merge them all. This can be done by following these steps:

   Go to your 'Home' screen.

   Tap 'Contacts'

   Tap 'Merge Contacts'

   Select where to merge them, and you should now have eliminated duplicate contacts.
