- 2However, once we've hidden the date and time, we will not be able to access the "Date & Time" menu the same way. For this tutorial, we will close this menu and demonstrate the other way to access it, which is directly through the system preferences panel.Scroll down and click "Open Date & Time Preferences...".

- 8In our demonstration, we will remove the checkmark from the box. Unchecking it will remove the date and time from the menu bar that runs along the top of the screen. Now there is no way for us to click on the date and time any longer, as the field has been removed from the menu bar.Click the box next to "Show date and time in menu bar".
