I need the code in finding real or fake Galaxy S4?
Can you please tell me the code that shows if my Samsung Galaxy S4 is real or fake?
There are a number of codes that you can use to determine whether your Samsung Galaxy S4 is genuine or fake. In fact, using these codes is one of the fastest ways to spot a cloned phone. Depending on the information you have access to, you can check whether individual phone components are real, or check the whole phone. These codes can also be helpful if you have had your phone in for repairs, but you aren't sure if the vendor gave you original components.
These are some of the codes that you can use on your phone:
- Software and hardware specifications: *#12580369#
- General test mode: *#0*# ""
- Samsung service mode: *#197328640#
- Firmware info: *#1234#
- IMEI code: *#06#
You should dial these codes on your dial pad. If your phone responds to the code, it's genuine, if not, it's probably a clone. However, the one code that is different is the IMEI code. Identifying a cloned phone using this code requires verifying it on a third party IMEI website.
Once you have the code from your phone, just follow the steps below to make sure it's valid:
- 1On your PC desktop, open a web browser.
- 2Go to the IMEI website.
- 3Enter your phone IMEI number to the page.
- 4Click on 'Check'.
- 5If the website shows your Galaxy phone information, it's genuine.
- 6If it's unable to find your device, it's probably a clone.
