How to connect my Note5 Android smartphone to my TV with HDMI port?

I connected my Samsung Note5 with the Merlin kit (HDMI convertible port), and connected it to the HDMI port 1, but I can not see my phone on the TV still. Please let me know what to do? Thank you.

With the Note5 you will need the Samsung Smart Adapter. Although it is much like your Merlin, you will, unfortunately, need to get one should you wish to continue streaming from your phone to your TV. You could also purchase a Chromecast, and as long as the Note5 and Chromecast are on the same WiFi network, you will be able to stream content. The ability to screen mirror via SideSync is also supported if your TV is compatible. Normal MHL 2.0 and 3.0 are not supported with the Note5.
