About Apple Products
The last decade has been very significant to the defining years of technology. Personal gadgets, such as mobile phones, music and video players, computers and many more have become the main features of technological innovations. The gadget wars have created tech and electronic giants. It also made clear that some companies cannot keep up with the ever-changing demands of technology, and can be replaced. Think Netflix for the former and Blockbuster for the latter.
The late and great Steve Jobs was a major contributor to the technology revolution. A glimpse at how innovative his mind worked was already evident when he started his company, Apple. But it was not until the release of the iPod that Apple became known to many; even to those not tech savvy. And when the iPhone was released, Steve Jobs and Apple became a worldwide phenomenon. And until his very last days, Steve Jobs was revered as a genius, a great innovator.
From iPod, Apple released other "I" products - iMac, iPhone, iPad and many more. iPod alone has many varieties, from iPod Mini and iPod Shuffle, to iPod Nano to iPod touch, these iPod products have something for everybody.
Apple is best known to have an interface that is simple and neat, but at the same time a body that is high quality, durable, and timeless in design. Apple is also known to provide their customers with excellent customer service. It's no wonder Apple has kept millions of loyal customers.
Like with everything else, a gadget's lifespan depends on how well the user takes care of it. Typically, personal electronic equipment would average a lifespan of two to three years. If properly used, it could last up to five years, but if careless with its handling, the gadget will have a short life.
Apple's products are not exempted from this. If overused, the gadget will soon give up on its owner. To take care of the gadget, the owner must not overuse it with games or movies, overload it with too many apps, or charge it improperly - that is either overcharging or undercharging. Doing any of the above may result in damage to the motherboard of the gadget.
Symptoms of a Damaged Motherboard
Some symptoms of damaged motherboard are:
- Freezing.
- Delayed Response.
- Locking Up.
- LCD Screen Fading to Blank or Black.
These are just a few of the signs of a damaged motherboard, but that doesn't mean that the gadget is completely broken. Things can be fixed, and often, issues are just product bugs that are present in the model because of its novelty or a bad system upgrade. In a nutshell, when your phone, music or video player starts to show signs of damage, relax and take a deep breath. There is no need to panic. Yet.
When the iPod Touch seems to freeze or locks up, screen fading or slowed response, instead of bringing it directly to the Apple store for repair, try this simple method of resetting. For those not familiar with the term, resetting means hard or forced reboot. Contents and settings of the phone will not be erased or deleted.
How to Reset an iPod Touch
- 1Press and hold down the "Sleep" or "Wake" button (which you could find at the top of the phone) and the "Home" button (which you could find at the bottom center of the phone) at the same time for about ten seconds.
- 2When the LCD display clears up and the Apple logo appears on the black background, your Hard Reset of the iPod touch has been successful.
