I have a Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 g7102. I need to Hard Reset it?
Safe mode appears on the screen, and I am unable to use downloaded apps.
Your problem is that Safe Mode appears on your Samsung Galaxy Grand 2's screen and you are unable to use downloaded apps. This is just normal. You won't be able to use your downloaded apps from Google Play Store if safe mode is enabled. With safe mode enabled, all of your downloaded games will be temporarily disabled. Performing a Hard Reset will delete all of the data on your phone, so before performing a Hard Reset, I would advise you to disable safe mode first, then decide if you still want to Hard Reset your phone.
To disable safe mode, simply do the following. 1. Press and hold the power button on your phone until restart option appears. 2. Select Restart, then tap OK. 3. That's it. Safe mode will be disabled after your phone restarts.
If after disabling safe mode and you still want to Hard Reset your phone, please do the following. 1. Turn off your phone. 2. Press and hold volume up button, home button and power button simultaneously until Samsung logo appears. 3. Wait until the recovery menu appears, then navigate to "wipe data/Factory Reset" using the volume keys, then press the power button to confirm. 4. Select "yes", then hit the power button again. 5. Wait until wipe is complete, then select "reboot system now" and power button again. 6. That's it. You have now successfully Hard Reset your phone.

Hello, I have forgotten my pin so I was just wondering if you would be able to help me?
Hello, I have forgotten my pin so I was just wondering if you would be able to help me?. I have tried: Gmail only. I think it was caused by: Changing pins every day
Why are you changing pins every day? OK so if you can't choose Forgot Password and use your Google Account you will have to hard reset the device to access it. If you have a phone with Lollipop or Marshmallow OS then you will need to flash new firmware on the device to set up a new Google Account.
Will Hard Reset restore the previous OS shipped with the mobile originally?
Hi, my Samsung SM G7102 was updated to Android 4.4.2 but it can't work properly. it keeps restarting, no WiFi, no data connection. Can I use the Hard Reset to restore it back to the previous OS?
Yes, it will restore the previous OS. The operating system resides in your phone's ROM, which means it can't be changed other than with an OS update, or by flashing an app to it. So when you Hard Reset your phone, all of your data will be wiped, except for the OS.
Then, the phone will be reset to the factory default settings, using the OS stored in the ROM. It will be like new, with none of your personalized settings or data. Keep in mind that this means all of your data on the phone will be wiped.
If you want to keep data, you'll need to backup your files. To do this, you should use Samsung Kies. If you haven't used this program on your PC before, follow the steps below:
- 1On the PC desktop, open your web browser.
- 2Go to the Samsung Kies website.
- 3Click on the 'Kies Download' button, under the 'Downloads' section.
- 4When the file is downloaded, open it.
- 5Follow the setup to install the program.
- 6Once Kies is installed on your PC, run it.
- 7Now plug your Galaxy S3 into the PC.
- 8Wait for the program to identify your phone.
- 9On Kies, click on the 'Backup/Restore' tab.
- 10Click on data backup.
- 11Check the box next to 'Select all items'.
- 12Click on the backup button, on the top right side of the program.
- 13Your contents are successfully backed up.

If it is not charging, get a new fully charged battery and put it in the device. See if then you can go through the hard reset process. My motherboard fried on my device and you can get them for about $30 and repair with a tech for another $100 or so if you do not feel confident doing it yourself. You should never attempt a hard reset unless the phone is fully charged.
