In order to back up data with Samsung smartphones, you will need either Smart Switch. If Smart Switch refuses to recognize your smartphone, then use Kies. In order to back up data in Smart Switch, plug your smartphone to your computer with the original USB cable, and install the USB driver. Open Smart Switch, click "Backup", choose what you want to back up, and click "Confirm". If you are using Kies, then click "Back up/Restore". Click "Data backup".
