Steps

You should already have Illustrator open and a document ready

On your vertical toolbar, click the "Paintbrush Tool"

Click "Brush Definition"

It reads, "5 pt. Round" in this video. This is a default setting.

You can click any brush style

You can scroll through the brush styles

Then click the "Brush Libraries Menu" icon that looks like a pile of books in the bottom-left corner

A drop-down menu should appear.

Click the type of a brush that you wish to use

You can, for example, hover the cursor over "Decorative" and click "Decorative_Banners and Seals".

A pop-up window will appear, which you can drag away from the canvas

Click the brush that you would like to use
.
The brush will be confirmed at the top of the window.

Now, you can begin drawing with the type of brush that you have selected

You can make the stroke thicker

Repeat steps 2-9 to choose a different brush

Press "Ctrl" + "Z" to undo last actions.
