Androids are smartphones. Aside from using them for SMS and basic calls, these phones are used for personal and business e-mails, storage of videos, pictures and other personal stuff. Confidential information such as business and personal contacts, credit card information, bank details and other important data may be stored on your device. Having your phone on the wrong hands may cost you a lot. That is the reason why you need to keep your mobile device safe and secure.
One way of securing your device is by using screen lock pattern. Once your device locks or has its screen turned off, accessing it again will require you to enter the correct screen lock pattern or the phone would stay locked. This will prevent unauthorized persons from using your phone and retrieving any valuable information from it. Below, we have compiled instructions on how to enable screen lock patterns for popular phones. If you have a phone that is not listed, indicate your device's brand and model on the comments section and we will have them added to the list.
