You're watching VisiHow. In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to get Windows 10 for free. To start with, we will need to have an existing copy of Windows 8 or Windows 7. This copy should be an official, registered copy.

   If we have this then what we will want to do is navigate down to our taskbar or our system bar at the bottom of the screen

   Click on the Windows icon

   This icon features four white panels, slightly tilted to the right. When hovering over this icon, the words "Get Windows 10" will appear above it.

   Once we have clicked "Get Windows 10", a pop-up window will appear

   In this window, we will learn how the free upgrade works. For instance, how to "Reserve", "Install", and of course "Enjoy". If we would like more information about this, we will note at the bottom of the window there are a series of 6 little dots.

   Each time we click over, we will see information and additional details

   These panels will indicate what we can do with the new system, what the new features will be, and the addition of more games, more movies, more music, and more apps than Windows has ever had before. We can get to the next slide by either pressing one of the six dots or by clicking on of the arrows located at either side of the popup. These arrows will be blue and inside of a white box.

   So to get started, and reserve our Windows 10 upgrade today, we are going to need to click on "Reserve your free upgrade"

   This is a blue button, rectangular shaped, at the bottom of the last screen on the pop-up window we have previously opened. Let's now give this a single click.

   Now we will be taken to Microsoft email confirmation page

   Here we will need to enter in our information, receive confirmation, and then continue on.

   Tap in the email box, and enter in a valid email address

   This box is underneath the words "Enter your email to get a confirmation". Before an address is typed in, the box itself will read "Please enter your email address".
