Today I will show you how to make a khaki makeup, khaki with gold highlights.
Steps
1
To start with we need our facial powder which I am going to apply on my upper eyelid and use it as a base for the eyeshadows
.
We are doing this to prevent the eyeshadows from falling off, losing color or printing off because I have a semi-Asian eyelid. When I open my eyes, I sometimes get the prints right here. Okay, done.
2
Now I can use eyeshadows, I'm going to use khaki bourgeois eyeshadows, they are little bit old, but those are my favorite so far
.
It has gold for highlighting, slightly khaki, and a darker khaki tone.
3
I honestly think that I hate using the sponges that go with the eyeshadows
.
So, I choose to use brushes.
4
5
I'm going to start with the flat eyeshadow brush
.
6
I'm starting with the highlight first
.
7
I will apply it under my eyebrow, like this, to lift it up visually
.
8
Do the same to this eyebrow as well
.
9
I use the same golden highlight and put it into the inner corner of my eyes to open my eyes a little bit and to remove the semi-Asian look
.
This eye as well.
10
Can you see the difference
?
11
I'm still using the same highlight to put in the middle of my eye
.
And I'm going to do the same thing for the other eye.
12
Now I will need to use the middle tone, which is the lighter khaki color, to cover the whole eyelid
.
It goes like this. Keep in mind that when you use darker tones, it sort of pushes back the surface. When you use lighter tones, it brings it up. So what I want to do is push this back the eyelid, pushes it inside, makes it look like it sits deeper than it actually does.
13
I'm going to do the same thing with my left eye
.
14
Let's see if it's the same if the eyes look the same
.
I see I need to add a little bit of shadows on this eye.
15
So I just use my dark shadow, the darkest tone, to define the wrinkle part
.
16
You just take the shadow and you literally draw a line on your wrinkle right where your eye closes like this and you blurred up just a tiny bit
.
Not too much.
17
You do the same thing on the other eye
.
18
19
Next step, I'm going to use this brush a little short and a hard brush to apply the same dark khaki eyeshadows on my bottom eyelid
.
20
I'm not going to put anything on my bottom water line so that I don't visually make my eyes narrow my purpose today is to make them as open as possible
.
So I'm putting this eyeshadow here. Okay I think we're done with eyeshadow.
21
Let's switch to my favorite part which is black eyeliner
.
As you can see is not too sharp but it's not an issue we can sharpen it. I have a Bobby Brown sharpener, which is my favorite. It's really fast. Okay now it is sharp enough to make the perfect arrows.
22
I will start with my right eye, with the outside corner
.
Normally, it takes you a while to learn how to create the arrows. I can honestly say that it took me a couple of years to train my hands so that I would not mess up the line. In order to make these types of arrows you have to practice every day. We need to drag this line up here a little bit.
23
Add a little bit on the bottom
.
24
Do the same thing with the left eye
.
Contour the eyelid at first and then color in the space. Color in the space between your eyelashes as well, so it doesn't look empty or left out. Now we will draw the arrow. I think this is not straight, but I will fix it. Okay, let's get our mascara.
25
So the final step to our eye makeup is to apply our favorite mascara
.
If you don't apply your desk area, you will look like a fish or a moth at your best. Mascara is very important because it makes your eyes look like a butterfly that has wings. The coloring of the butterfly’s wings is not as important as the wings themselves. So the eyelashes are your wings. You may not see it on the video but when I look to the side. It's pretty.
26
Let's do that left eye now
.
There are days, when you don't feel like applying any makeup, that you can just wear mascara. Just supply mascara and you are ready to go. I don't have very thick or long eyelashes so this is kind of a must-have for me a must do. Don't forget the color in your bottom lashes as well and we are done with our eyes.
27
As you can see there is some fall off
.
That has fallen on my cheeks. I'm going to remove it first with the brush.
28
Then, I’m going to apply some facial powder right under my eyes and went to drag it up
.
It serves two purposes. It removes the pieces of eyeshadow that fell off; also it covers up the dark circles under your eyes.
29
We are done with the eye part of this tutorial
.
Let's move to the second part which is the lips.
