Minecraft 360 is an Open World Sandbox game where you explore and harvest resources, then use them to survive, craft new items and build almost anything you can imagine. While the Xbox 360 version has played catch up to the PC version with incremental updates, players have been patiently waiting for a key feature: Custom Texture Packs which give the ability to "skin" the game and change the look of the world. Now with the latest update, Texture Pack support has finally arrived, so read on to see how you can get one.

Load the game onto your Xbox 360

From here you will see Downloadable Content Offers. Choose "Texture Packs".

You will see the new Texture Pack available
:
Plastic Texture Pack. You can choose a Trial Version or the Full Version. The Trial Version will allow you to play with the new Texture Pack; however, you will not be able to save your world. If you chose the Full Version, press "A" to continue to the Payment Screen.

From the payment option screen, you'll see an overview of the purchase which includes the download size and the localized price

The price is around $1, fluctuating with applicable taxes, depending on where you are in the world.

If you need to add or change a credit card associated with your Microsoft Account, you can do so from this screen by selecting "Change Payment Options".

Once you're ready, select "Confirm Purchase" and your download will begin

Once complete, you'll see the new Texture Pack available when creating or loading an existing world from the Play Game menu.

On Trial. The Trial will not allow you to save your world, so try to keep this in mind before spending countless hours on your latest architectural masterpiece.
Connect to Xbox Live. If your console is not connected to Xbox Live, you won't get the latest game updates or new Texture Packs.
More on the way. There are currently three Texture Packs for Minecraft 360. The standard textures, the Mass Effect Texture in the separately downloadable add on and the Plastic Texture Pack. However, now that the functionality has been added, you can look forward to more Texture Packs in the future.

How do you do it without Xbox live?

The only way to download content to your Xbox 360 is by using an account with either an Xbox Live Gold or Silver account. Silver accounts are free, so it's possible to connect your console to the internet, buy the DLC, and then disconnect your console again without ever paying for access to Xbox Live.

How do you do it without Xbox live? On Minecraft game.

Simply select to 'play offline'. Whenever you go to play the game, you'll see options on screen to connect to Xbox live or to play offline. Continue Playing Offline. Make sure you create a new world, rather than continue a previous world, as it will ask you to log into Xbox live to play online. Once you choose to play 'offline', and create a world, it will initialize and wait to load the new game, and you will be playing Mine craft. There is also the option for playing 'multiplayer offline', as long as all the players are all connected to the same local network at home or wherever you're playing.

Hi, my son is having trouble downloading the trial edition. It brings him to a "billing" page, and when I put in our details, it says, "invalid address - not completed". So I'm wondering if it's trial, do we still need to input address? And if so, how do we get past the incomplete address bit? Many thanks. Stephanie.
